It is now becoming popular to install TV's above Fireplaces. At CVO Fire we have a wide range of fireplace designs which are suitable to mount a TV above. This type of installation means that there is no need for a hearth or surround and a TV on a stand, all of which can take up considerable space within a room. By removing these from the floor and positioning on the wall it makes the room space open and contemporary. With careful planning it is also possible to hide the DVD, surround sound and all cabelling. Shown below are a selection of images showing our recent projects. It should be warned however that this type of installation should not be considered lightly and requires special planning and advice. We strongly advise that you seek expert advice from our trained sales consultants before considering this type of installation. Note that the images shown are for illustration only showing installations was done by a UK contractors. CVO Cannot give any specific information on installing a TV above the fire as it is site specific. Careful planning needs to be observed. If look carefully at the image the TV above is recessed further back than the finished wall and has ventilation provided all around (large plasma TV's get hot regardless of the gas fire and need ventilation). With careful planning it is possible to achieve this look however it should not be entered into lightly without planning. We can provide some guidance and advice in relation to the gas fire however not the TV as there are many styles, shapes and sizes.
