Our flueless gas fires are also CE approved with a special deflector gather unit. This optional extra allows a shelf to be fitted above the wall mounted flueless fire and also to recess the fire into the wall. | TV ABOVE THE FIRE! Note that the images shown are for illustration purposes only. These installations were done by UK contractors. CVO Cannot give any specific information on the installation of a TV above the fire as this type of ionstallation is site specific and careful planning needs to be done to ensure the heat generated by the fire is not drawen into the tv cavity. Look carefully at the images and you will notice the TV has air all around and is recessed further back than the finished wall. This ensures ventilation is provided all around (large plasma TV's get hot regardless of the gas fire and need ventilation). With careful planning it is possible to achieve this look however it should not be entered into lightly. We can provide some guidance and advice in relation to the recessed gas fire but not the TV installation as there are many styles, shapes and sizes. | |||||||||
WARNING: Never attempt to install any other branded flueless gas fire into a recess unless the "manufacturer" of the fire states that it is safe to do so. Flueless gas fires are governed by very strict CE approvals and recessing the fire can affect this approval. |

Why no technical specifications shown online? There have been a number of incidents where customers have seen our special flueless recess system, downloaded the technical specification and then chosen to copy our design for use with another design of cheaper flueless fire. Not only is it illegal to copy our designs they have also found out that the gas fitter would not install the cheaper fire they selected as the fire is designed to be "wall mounted" only. This is a case where "making our own because its cheaper" does not work. Our fires are designed to a high specification and are CE approved to be safe. Do not cut corners where your families safety is concerned - buy a product which is tested to be safe and has safety features built in.
